Planed vs. spiral grooved – what really holds?

• Planed dowels serve as a guide. Their grooves are roughly milled, which means only one thing – the wood material that could help strengthen the joint is gone. Everything is held together only by the glue.

• Spiral grooved dowels, on the other hand, have a groove precisely pressed inwards, without losing any wood mass. What does this mean? When the glue is applied, the material swells and firmly "bites" into the walls of the drilled hole. The joint is created not only chemically, but also by mechanical expansion – a joint that won't loosen.

Precision that makes the difference Our dowels are manufactured with a tolerance of up to 0.05 mm. No luck, just technological certainty. Every piece undergoes an inspection that ensures that the connecting pin really connects – and not just pretends to. That's why our pins can be used in automatic doweling machines.

We have been processing wood for 33 years

Our company has been manufacturing wooden connecting pins and rods since 1992. We produce spirally grooved, smooth and smooth sanded pins and rods. For production, we use beech wood harvested in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Before processing, the wood is dried in professional Catres dryers, which guarantee complete and smooth drying without cracking and loss of the advantages of beech wood such as strength and elasticity. The wood contains only 8% moisture. Thanks to the fact that we have been able to be one of the largest manufacturers of connecting pins in the Czech Republic for 25 years, we have vast experience with the accuracy and speed of our production.
